Cervical Health Info Line

Women's Health Queensland has partnered with the Australian Cervical Cancer Foundation (ACCF) to launch the Cervical Health Info Line. The Cervical Health Info Line is a confidential service, staffed by registered nurses and midwives, which provides women concerned about cervical screening (formely Pap smear) with additional support and advice. They can answer a variety of questions, including:

  • How do I prepare for a Cervical Screening Test (CST) and what can I expect?

  • Is cervical screening safe during pregnancy?

  • CST results and what they mean

  • Is cervical screening required after a hysterectomy?

  • Cervical cancer treatments and side effects

  • Do I need to have a CST if I have been immunised against HPV?

  • Cervical screening after menopause

  • Discussing the recent changes to cervical screening.
