Bringing up Bebe

Pamela Druckerman (2014)

This book, written as a memoir, recounts the experiences of the (American) author when she had a baby in Paris. The author noticed a number of differences between the French view of children and parenting, and her own, and began to discover that children are capable of feats of understanding and autonomy she had never imagined. This is an entertaining and interesting account of a parenting style and attitude that appears to be working very well, and is written so that others may find some useful strategies for themselves.
